One of the largest European low-costers – EasyJet – announced that it has received a license to fly to Ukraine. The first flight to this country may take place in autumn 2020. The flight schedule is not available yet, but there is information that the airline will make 12 flights a week to this destination.
The EasyJet route network covers over 30 countries. The base is London Luton Airport. Another EasyJet hub in Europe is Milan Malpensa airport. It is from Italy that flights with Ukraine are planned. Earlier EasyJet operated flights from London and Manchester to Russia, but the cooperation was terminated in 2016.
To date, Ukrainian citizens can not freely visit EU countries because of restrictions associated with measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In the coming days, the EU will again review its list of safe countries from which tourists are allowed to enter the Schengen area. Recently, however, this list has only been narrowed, not expanded.
